Former builders themselves, owner Jordan Jones and his family knew there was a gap in the market – a major chain closed down its local outlet, leaving local trades people and DIYers having to go much further afield to get what they needed.  BILT. opened its doors in November 2019, and despite the events of 2020 and 2021, quickly established a reputation for great service and good prices.

Jordan says: “We now have customers come from far and wide relying on us, we are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about stocking the best quality products, and we go out of our way to make life that little bit easier for our customers.  We consider ourselves a pillar of the community – and not just in the building sense!”

FROM NEW ROMNEY TO BEYOND!

Just three years into the business, BILT. covers the entire local area including Folkestone, Hythe and the Marsh.  The word is spreading, because the firm is now delivering to customers in other areas of Kent, East Sussex and UK-wide including as far as Newcastle!

Customers can order by popping into the New Romney store on Mountfield Road, by phone or by email – advice and queries are all handled at this stage.  Payment is via cash or card instore or over the phone, and there are trade accounts too – Jordan says “this is an essential service for those in the trades, saving them time and money.”  Deliveries are organised to coordinate with the customer’s schedule, and Jordan comments “We can cope with orders of all sizes and even the most remote locations – of which there are many, especially on the Marsh!”

AN ALADDIN’S CAVE…

Builders and budding DIY-ers alike will find everything they need for every project at BILT.  From sheet materials, DIY tools, timber and decorative stone, fencing and decking, bulk aggregates, screws and fixings, paint and decorating equipment, to sealants and adhesives, it’s all there.

In-store collection or express delivery can be arranged, and Jordan says “We know what it’s like to have a project where you suddenly need something to complete the job, or your plans have expanded – we have the flexibility and reliability to make sure we can deliver the right products at the right time.”
