Monopoly – new Folkestone special edition

Folkestone has beaten off competition from 19 other towns across Britain to get its very own Monopoly game.

The makers of Monopoly, London-based Winning Moves UK, say it is all down to Folkestone’s new trendy status, crediting events like the Triennial for putting it on the map.

A new edition featuring local landmarks including Folkestone Creative Quarter and the Leas will replace Monopoly streets like Park Lane and Mayfair. Folkestone-themed replacements of the playing pieces will also be created.

The new game will go on sale in March 2020.
