ST. LEONARD’S CHURCH
Dating back over a thousand years, St Leonard’s appears in the Doomsday Book. Its many Norman features remain, along with later additions from the Victorians to the present day.
A remarkable art nouveau stained-glass window commemorates the death of 2nd Lieutenant Robert Hildyard who died on the Somme in 1916 along with millions of others.
St. Leonard’s also has an ossuary containing the largest and best-preserved collection of ancient human skulls and bones in Britain.
Concerts and recitals are held regularly at St. Leonard’s – visit www.slhk.org to find out more.
