DUNGENESS
Dungeness is Britain’s only desert, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, home to a vast range of flora and fauna, and not one but two lighthouses.
The expanse of shingle beach, the flat hinterland and the wide open skies make it a place for pilgrims of all sorts – writers, artists, botanists, birdwatchers and outdoor lovers all flock here.
